Bible Journaling Through The Proverbs - Proverbs 2

Bible Journaling Through the Proverbs- Proverbs2
Good Morning! Happy Monday! Today I'm sharing a few more pages from my Proverbs book that I am working through. The Passion Translation is something new for me, so I read it and then I read my study bible to compare. It's very enriching studying the Proverbs one at a time and seeing what images form when I read. The gifts I found on google and changed them up a little and the rock path I found on a post on Sandy Allnook's blog and took inspiration from her. I love playing with my watercolors again. Each Monday I hope to post another proverb, so I hope you can join me on my little adventure in faith! On Wednesdays I plan to post my journey through the Psalms pages.

Bible Journaling Through the Psalms - Psalm 17

Bible Journaling Through the Psalms - Psalm 17
Psalm 17
Good Morning! Today I have some pages from my journey through the Psalms. I've read the Psalms before, but never "felt" this way about them. I am gaining a whole new understanding of them. I would love to journal my way through all the books of the Bible. What a journey of faith that would be. Have a wonderful day everyone and I hope you can join me tomorrow for Technique Thursday where I will have a new process video up on Youtube.

Book Review - Restore by Vince Antonucci

Vince Antonucci is like a breath of fresh air. His new book hits the hard topic of addiction and recovery but he broaches the topic with  a way that everyone can relate to. Are you an addict? Of course we aren't! Are you sure? Do we turn to "things", "people", "chocolate", or "shopping" to ease our stress or to feel more joy in our lives? Do we buy one outfit and feel good, so we think if we buy two we will feel even better? Do we come home and binge watch our favourite tv show to numb the pain of the day? That my friend is an addiction. I will let Vince explain the rest. He keeps it real folks! He will tell you about his family, his dog and his life. He will tell you stories from the Bible in a way you can understand and relate to. He combines our daily habits, our stress and our joys and explains how whether it's a good day or a bad day there is only one way to go. One person to turn to. That's right....God! Seems so simple doesn't it? Yet why can't we do it? Vince will walk you through the steps, help you discover a new relationship with God.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It's one that I think everyone can relate to. I felt a kinship with Vince. It's like he can see into our everyday struggles and joyous moments and can explain how and why we feel the way we do. A brilliantly written book that I highly recommend. I was so graciously gifted this book by Tyndale House publishers for my honest review.

Bible Journaling Through The Proverbs : Proverbs 1

Proverbs 1 Bible Journaling Through the Proverbs
Good Morning Everyone! Hope your staying warm! It's been pretty cold here in Canada. So I am hibernating in the studio working on a new project. I have been journaling through the Psalms and am just loving the journey so I thought I would do the Proverbs at the same time. This book is called "Proverbs Wisdom From Above"  I love these little books! Just the right size! I would love to have all the books in the Bible in these books to journal through. I find I am more at ease drawing and painting in these books than I am in my Bible. My goal as well is to have a drawing or some art on every page, so for Proverbs 1 I have three drawings. I found inspiration on Pinterest and tried to draw these myself. It's a journey of learning and worship.

Bible Journaling Through the Psalms - Psalm 11-16

Psalm 11 Bible Journaling Through the Psalms
 Psalm 11
Hi Everyone! How's your day going? I'm sharing some more of my Bible Journaling Through the Psalms pages. I am really enjoying reading, learning, meditating and then drawing what images come to my heart while studying. I am loving this journey so much I am also doing the same thing through the Proverbs. I will be sharing that starting next week. There is only 31 Proverbs so my journey will be a lot shorter than the Psalms! I'm still finding my way creatively enjoying different styles and mediums. I've been stocking up on stamps too for lettering. With my Essential Tremor, most days it's impossible for me to hand write. Stamps come in very handy! At the bottom of the post are links to the other Psalms posts. Have an awesome day and thank you for joining me.

Bible Journaling Through the Psalms - Psalms 6-10

Psalm 6 Bible Journaling Through the Psalms
Good Morning! I'm back to share a few more pages from my Journey through the Psalms. I'm still learning about different styles of art and slowly finding "my way". I love to try a lot of different things and one day my "style" will emerge ( I hope). I am reading the Passion Translation as well as my Swindoll Study Bible to better understand each Psalm.  I love to see what images come to my heart as I read.

I did a post the other day about how my journey started, so I'm trying to catch up my posting to where I am working at now. I will be sharing all my photos on Instagram if you are there, you can catch them as I do them. Here on my blog I will post a few Psalms at a time. Thanks so much for stopping by today....until next time

Bible Journaling Through the Psalms - Psalm 1-5

Psalm 1 Bible Journaling Through the Psalms
Psalm 1
Late one night I was on Youtube and found an amazing artist Lisa Albinus journaling through the Psalms. I found out she has a video a week on the Psalms and also shares her sketches each week so you can follow along. How amazing is that! I watched Psalm 4's video and was hooked! I am busy in my journals and creating things for the shop and doing my own process videos, so I thought a little side project where I could just create, relax and spend time in His word would be a beautiful journey. I haven't played with my watercolor in awhile, so I was excited to get started.

I bought the book "The Psalms, Poetry on Fire" to use for this journey. The book is 6" x 8", so it's perfect for art! They even have one that is Illustrated for you if you want! I also read my Swindoll Study Bible for a different version and more understanding.  For some of the Psalms I am using Lisa's sketches and for some I am finding inspiration on Pinterest ( where I can lose hours searching, lol)  or Google . My goal is to journal all 150 Psalms and have art on every page even if it's a little flower or a small drawing. Today I thought I would share the first pages  I did.
