Misc. Me - October

Good Morning Scrappy Friends! It's Misc. Me day at BoBunny. For my Misc. Me pages for October I just had to use the Autumn Song collection with the warm rich colors of fall. Fall where I live in Canada is very short, so I have to take full advantage of it. For my calendar page, I used one the bags from the Kraft collection and slipped my journaling inside. I also made a little sleeve to hold some of the Noteworthy pieces.
I know I say it every month but the double sided patterned cardstock is just perfect for decorating the pockets in the binder. All the cards I used where right on the sheet, ready to cut out. The hard part was choosing which ones to use. With a few stickers or noteworthy pieces, they were ready in no time.
I'm finding I'm using more of the dimensional stickers in my pockets as well. You can stick them right to the card, or stick them on the plastic sheet for more depth. Misc. Me is keeping me going on my Photo a Day routine...I can't believe it's already November.. Time for more pages and another fun collection.

You Make Me Smile

Morning Everyone!! Last night I just wanted to have fun, play in my studio and just create. You know that feeling when you have tons of assignments and you've lost your mojo? This is my way of getting back on track. What do you do when you've lost your mojo?  I found a sketch at Sketches With A Twist and it was just what I needed. The twist was.. paint or modeling paste.. oh yeah!!! I couldn't wait to get my spatula and texture paste out! The other day I needed photos so I went to print them out and they printed in Black & White. Couldn't throw them away right? So here they are. I did a layout with the coloured ones just the other day, can you tell I love them? lol. I had a lot of fun with my inks, stamps, texture paste and cameo for this one. So until next time....

Thanks so much for stopping by. I love reading your comments and I appreciate your scrappy support! Have a wonderfully happy scrappy day! Lynn

Minutes Layout and a Blog Hop Winner!

Good Morning and Happy Monday!! Today before I announce the winner of the blog hop, I wanted to share a layout I did just for fun using the new sketch at Sketchabilities. Karan is a dear friend of mine and I've always admired her sketches. Now she has changed it up abit to add a mixed media feel. I love to play with my mixed media goodies, so this was a win win!! I had some free time since it's blowing and snowing here and I'm hibernating. I did the background with some gelatos and got out those stamps! You know I'm loving my stamps right now, lol.. The photo is of my clocks. I love clocks and have several different ones around my studio, so I snapped a photo to use. And.. I just have to mention the layering... I laughed when I counted seven layers behind my photos.. did I get a little carried away? So here is the sketch Karan designed and until next time.......but wait.. the blog hop winner... just scroll down for the announcement!

Autumn Traditions

If Your Looking for the 3Scrappy Boys Blog Hop...please scroll down!

Morning Scrappy Friends! Today I had a few minutes to play in my studio and found this sketch at Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine. When I saw all the circles I wasn't sure what to do. Cute and Fun? Bright and Bold? But if you know me, I went with the warm colours of fall and it turned out more shabby than fun! Some things never change right? These photos are all of Nicole on our family photo shoot down by the lake on our Thanksgiving weekend. I had fun cutting out all the circles and used my cameo to make the distressed photo frame. In the end I quite liked how it turned out. So until next time...

Smiles Are Free

Happy Monday my friends!! My project today features my little Great Nephew Noah who will be 4 years old in November. He is the sweetest little boy that always makes me laugh. For this layout,  I got to work with this amazing sketch from Tabitha at Let's Get Sketchy. I loved the strips in this sketch and decided to combine some patterned paper and washi tape. I'm really starting to like washi tape, lol.. I had it sitting around in a basket forever, just collecting dust until one day... out it came and now it's a fun thing to add to any project. I even took out the modeling paste and did a little altering to the background. I'm starting to slow down and take my time, but that means more time to think about just that "one more little thing" you want to add, lol.  Someone needs to yell STOP every once in awhile. That's the fun though, just starting with a blank sheet of paper and never knowing what it will turn out like in the end. Happy Scrapping everyone, have an awesome day!

Hello Pet Me - Boys Rule

Morning Everyone!!! Today at Boys Rule there is a sketch challenge, and the sketch was designed by Laura Whitaker. I just had to play along, her sketches are always so much fun. In the kit this month were some papers from a company called Lucky7factory. I had never heard of this company before and I loved their papers. I was totally surprised that they are also a Canadian company. I definitely will be looking for their products again. I wanted to make this a fun, clean and simple layout, but it just didn't turn out that way once the stamps and rub ons came out, lol. I loved these photos of Ryan and the pups when they were small. He is concentrating so hard on whatever he was doing I don't think he even knew Jax was there trying to jump over the back of the couch, lol. Ryan always has one of the dogs curled up with him somewhere. So I hope you can stop by and play along with the sketch and until next time.....

Supplies:
Patterned Paper: Barnwood, Fresh Mint, Changes, Instant Moments/ The Lucky7factory, Zenitude Collection
Rubons: Numbers/Tim Holtz
Ephemera: Hey Kid/ Pink Paislee

The Best Of Friends - Scrap Africa Guest Designer

Morning scrappy friends!! I'm so excited!! Today I am a Guest Designer at Scrap Africa. I was so honoured to be asked. The project was a white space layout!! I panicked.. me and white space?? You all know I love to just keep adding things until you can't see the white space anymore, but I held back! The best part... was using my new Cameo sketch pens! I was a little nervous and played around on a blank sheet of paper first, but wow was it a blast! I can see these little pens getting a lot of use! I did the doodles, the title and the journaling all with the sketch pen! I get so excited by the smallest things I know, lol.  So, I hope you can pop over to the Scrap Africa blog to see what all their amazing designers did with this challenge! Until next time.....

Good Morning Everyone and Happy Tuesday! Today at BoBunny we are sharing some family layouts. On our Thanksgiving long weekend ( which here in Canada was in October) we headed out to the cabin with Nicole, Chris and little jiggy! We had such a fabulous weekend. Now I'm off to BoBunny to see what our other designers created... care to join me?

Cool Smile Kid - Boys Rule Kit Club

Morning Scrappy Friends! I'm so honoured today to share with you my first layout for my Guest Design spot with Boys Rule Scrapbook Kits . I will tell you this kit was AMAZING! When I saw this paper from Pink Paislee in the kit I knew I just had to play with it. The circles were just calling to be decorated! In the kit were so many fun embellishments to help me out. I dug right into the Pink Paislee Ephemera package and the Tim Holtz rub ons. I snuck one of the Pebbles Dimensional stickers on my layout too. Couldn't pass them up. I added a little doodling around some of the circles and this layout came together quite quickly. This was such a fun layout to do. Now I can't wait to start on my next project!!

Ephemera: Pink Paislee Hey Kid

Rocky Mountain Dance Sport Grand Prix Videos

Hi Everyone!! I just had to share Nicole's videos from this past weekend at the Ballroom Dance competition in Calgary. This is one of the largest events for ballroom in Western Canada. She danced so beautifully and placed 1st in 5 events, and 3rd in the Scholarship round. The scholarships were an amazing event to watch. Nicole was beat out only by the 5 Time World Champions, so she was extremely happy to place 3rd in that event. This was her first time dancing in Champ level, so I was so proud of her.  I just love watching ballroom, the dresses, the hair, the bling, it's all so exciting. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

I Can't Stop Smiling

Morning Morning!!! How's everyone's day? Today I'm sharing my layout for the new sketch over at Let's Get Sketchy. Brenshevia designed this fun sketch and as soon as I saw it I knew which photo I wanted to use. Nicole and Jackson (aka Jiggy) are busy taking more selfies, so we know if you send them, I'm going to scrap them, lol. I did a bunch of stamping on this layout and some doodling around the border. I really enjoy finishing up a layout, doing some stamping, stitching, spraying etc. I love to look for little things to add to my project. And thanks to my Cameo, all those little bits and pieces are easy to add. I'm off to check out what the rest of our team created, so I hope to see some familiar faces playing along with our challenge!!  Also... the Let's Get Sketchy magazine is live!! Come by and have a peek..it's fabulous! Here's the link http://letsgetsketchy.blogspot.ca/2013/11/its-time-lgss-first-magazine-publication.html Have a wonderful day my friends... until next time!
