1 Peter - Bible Journaling

Today I wanted to share a bright, colorful and happy Bible Journal Page. My pages seem to be so serious, I thought I needed something bright and happy. This page was all done with the Zig Clean Color Brush Pens.. I am so in love with these!!!  The verse is from 1 Peter "The grass withers and the flower falls, but the Word of the Lord remains forever". A good reminder I believe!! So, enjoy your day, and thank you so much for stopping by !

Jeremiah Bible Journaling

Good Morning and Happy Tuesday! Today I am sharing another page from my Bible from the book of Jeremiah. It's all about letting go and letting God take over. Don't stress, don't worry, because HE has your back, today, tomorrow and always. I know I say it every time, but I find this so freeing, so therapeutic, like nothing I have done before. I'm still learning to draw, but am getting better, lol.. This photo was one I found from Sandra Vandergeest on google.. So this is what started the inspiration for this page. Hope you all have a fabulously wonderful day... until next time.

Psalm 6 - Bible Journal

There are some days that you just don't know what to do. I asked God, what do I need to read today, then opened my bible and read the verse in front of me. It lead me to Psalm 6. It's been a rollercoaster lately here, and I really needed to "Let Go and Let GOD". Sometimes you just have to sit back and let HIM to take the lead, trust in Him and HIS ways. Today was one of those days. Until next time...

Bible Journaling - Colossians

Good Morning! It's Friday.. how did that happen already? I want the end of summer to slow down...slow way down! Today I have another bible journal page to share, this one from Colossians. I found this photo from Salem news and it just inspired me to try and re-create it on a page. It's amazing because each time I sit down, I have no idea what I'm going to do, or if I can even do it. Somehow it always turns out in the end.. and we know who we can thank for that. I keep saying it, but this is an amazing journey. Until next time...

Bible Art Journaling - Nahum

Good Morning! Today I would love to share another page in my bible journal. This one is from the book of Nahum. I didn't realize there were so many books in the bible until I read each name. I only remember the "popular" books, the ones they read in mass, but there are so many others. Fascinating. This photo I found on pinterest and then I searched the bible for a place to put it. It just spoke to me. I'm also reading the bible in Chronological order, which is also fascinating. It's interesting to read events in the order they occurred. This is truly my new passion. One that "speaks" to me. My art is "making sense" now. I love this journey I am on... Until next time..

The Touch of the Masters Hand

The Touch of The Masters Hand Isaiah 30:28 by Lynn Shokoples
Good Morning! Today I'm sharing another page, this one from Isaiah. I wanted to document the touch of the Lords hand in our lives. I found this image on "inkidoodles" and tried to recreate it. I love challenging myself to see what I am capable of. I seem to stay in that "comfort" zone, but I'm trying to learn more about drawing. As I read the passages, I just see what comes to me and I go from there. I don't talk much about the scripture, as I think we each have our own meaning and understanding of what we read and how it inspires us. I am also learning alot about different mediums, which is fun. This was done with NeoColorII crayons and Prisma pencil crayons.. I love playing with these! So until next time....

The Lord is Good - Bible Journaling

The Lord is good to those who wait for him bible journal page by Lynn Shokoples Lamentations 3:25-26
Good Morning! I just got home from our last bit of summer vacation out at the cabin. We spent a week sitting in the sun, reading, sharing and doing some bible journaling. Well, let me clarify.. I was bible journaling while hubby was reading about flying and sharing, lol.. This is a page I did while out at the cabin. While I'm still learning to draw, I am doing a lot of tracing and trying to add details of my own. This is a whole new art for me, since I can't draw. Thank goodness for talented people that share their artwork. This photo came from "draw4life" and I thought it fit perfectly with the passage from Lamentations 3:25-26. I love reading different passages from different parts of the bible to inspire my art. I am also reading a bible my mom gave me, which is in Chronological order. It's fascinating!! This is a whole new season for me, and I'm so thankful I found this type of art. Until next time...
